My first customer!

I had another busy baking weekend. On Friday, I made Mr. Kingston the funfetti cake balls he's been asking for. He had hinted that I make treats and then take them away, so this batch was all for him. Of course, he did take some to friends on Saturday, but the rest are still here. Thankfully, they're way too sweet for me so I'm nowhere near tempted to eat them.

My next task was cookies. A lot of cookies. My dad (first customer!) asked me to make him turkey cookies for his potluck at work this Tuesday. He asked for three dozen, I inadvertently made six dozen. The cookie recipe I use says it makes six dozen, plus I had dough leftover from my baking day with Mrs. ESPN so I also made cupcake cookies for my grandma's 92nd birthday. So really, I have 6 dozen turkeys and 18 cupcakes. A lot of cookies. I'll give my dad the best 4 dozen just so he has plenty and we'll save the others for our family's Thanksgiving. It took all day to do all of them, but I think they turned out really well:

After I got the kitchen and myself all cleaned up (my fingers are still pink) Mr. Kingston took me out on a date. He'd asked me out earlier in the day, so I was excited. He's always so sweet, but it was really cute to be asked to dinner by my husband. We went to Outback Steakhouse and then picked up movies and some beer and headed home to watch in our PJs.

There's not much going on today, just a lazy Sunday. I'll be meeting my dad later to deliver his cookies and have lunch, but other than that, we don't have anything planned. That's usually just the way I like it.

On the Paisley/Clover front, Clover has started to pick up on Paisley's barking at strangers and noises. Not good, although it is kinda cute to see our 11-pound baby thinking she's all tough with her tiny bark. We're going to have to work on curbing this habit more diligently with both of them. They are so cute though:

I have no specific requests. Unless you can make me cookies in the shape of a unicorn. What shall I send to you?

PS. But seriously anything would be delish. :) (Unless you really want to try for unicorns...if anyone could do it, you could!)
